This introduction is highly beneficial for understanding modern Chinese academic history and advancing the study of Tang poetry. Wen Yiduo was a famous poet and scholar in our country. A Study of Tang Poetry reflects Wen Yiduo's research on Tang poetry. The content involves various aspects, such as literary forms, renowned poets, poetical chronologies, and translations of poetry, hence the title A Study of Tang Poetry. He offers unique and profound insights and analyses on the advantages and disadvantages of encyclopedic works and poetry, the decline and redemption of court poetry, the organization and verification of chronologies, and especially the poetic achievements of some famous Tang poets such as the "Four Masters of Early Tang," Meng Haoran, Jia Dao, Chen Can, Du Fu, and Li Bai.
