Features: Shoulder pain can generally be divided into two types: acute and chronic. Chronic shoulder pain can also be referred to as shoulder muscle fatigue. The shoulder and neck together have more than 20 muscles, which work in coordination to ensure the normal function of the shoulder. However, when maintaining the same posture for a long time, these muscles become tense, blood circulation is poor, and fatigue substances accumulate as waste, leading to muscle stiffness and symptoms of pain and weakness. Acute shoulder pain occurs when engaging in physical labor or carrying heavy luggage, resulting in inflammation, redness, and swelling in the compressed shoulder muscles the next morning. Additionally, some middle-aged and elderly people often experience sudden, severe shoulder pain or an inability to raise their arms, a condition known as "fifty shoulder." This so-called fifty shoulder typically presents initially as acute but gradually transitions into chronic over time.
