Is it normal to have breast pain one week before menstruation?

Patient's question:

Hello! I am 19 years old. Since around 2005, my breasts have been painful once a month, mostly in the upper part. The pain occurs when I press on them but not when I don't. It also hurts when I go downstairs or run. I have consulted about this and been told it's related to my period, but I calculated it, and it's still about a week away. It almost always starts earlier. The pain lasts for about two weeks, and it doesn't hurt when my period ends. But after a week, the pain starts again. Could this indicate anything?
First follow-up question: So, there's no major problem?

Doctor's answer:

Women experience breast fullness, hardness, and tenderness before menstruation; in severe cases, even slight vibrations or collisions can cause discomfort. This is due to the increase in estrogen levels before menstruation, leading to breast hyperplasia and edema in the interstitial tissue. After menstruation, these changes disappear, which is a normal physiological phenomenon. You don't need to worry too much.
