Wanting to get pregnant but unable to detect ovulation, what treatment is needed

Patient's question:

Detailed medical history and consultation purpose: I previously had appendicitis, which was treated and has now largely recovered. I also had cervical inflammation and underwent one laser treatment, which has also been cured. However, my menstruation has never been very regular—typically delayed by 4 to 10 days. The flow is heavy, and the color is slightly darker. I am now trying to get pregnant, but I only detected ovulation once a few months ago and have not seen it since. Currently, I am taking Tong Ren Tang's Regulation and Fertility Enhancement Pills, but I still cannot detect ovulation. I don’t know what’s wrong or what treatment I might need. Thank you!

Doctor's answer:

If you can't detect ovulation using an ovulation test, it's possible that the issue could be with the test itself or with your ovulation. I recommend getting an ultrasound to monitor ovulation, as it provides a more direct and valuable reference. During the time of ovulation, having intercourse can increase the chances of conception. Good luck with your pregnancy!
