Features: Since the 18th century, Guangzhou has been one of China's major ports for foreign trade. Various types of Chinese artworks were sold to Europe and America through Guangzhou. Therefore, the Guangzhou region has actually become the main production and distribution center for exported Chinese artworks. This book collects over 300 pieces of various exported artworks from the late 18th to early 20th centuries, including blue-and-white porcelain, Canton porcelain, Canton embroidery, ivory carving, and exported paintings. These are collected over the years by the Guangzhou Museum from all over the world. Since a significant portion of them were custom-made based on samples from Europe and America, these artworks not only showcase the exquisite craftsmanship of Chinese art at the time but also reveal the exchange and fusion of Chinese and Western art.
