Patient's question:
Two months ago, three days after my menstrual period ended, I had an ultrasound check: endometrial thickness was 8mm, 1.20.8mm strong light mass, other normal. The doctor diagnosed: uterine polyps, recommended taking 4 boxes of twenty-five flavor, and to re-examine next month. But I haven't gone in two months. Recently, my menstrual period has been longer, lasting 7-8 days, and almost clean by the 8-9th day. Sometimes, I have small, rice-sized, light red spots in my urine, and sometimes there is red leukorrhea on the toilet paper, which seems to disappear after about 10 days. I don't know what the reason is. Are uterine polyps prone to cancer? Is my condition dangerous?-----I don't know how to treat it. Can it cancerize within two or three months?
Doctor's answer:
Treatment Plan: Different treatment methods are adopted based on the size, location, morphology of polyps, and the patient's age.1. For larger, pedunculated polyps that can be seen or felt in the lower uterine segment, the polyps can be removed by dilating the cervix, followed by cervical and uterine scraping to remove remaining polyps and send them for pathological examination.
2. For small, focal, or diffuse polyps, a D&C (dilation and curettage) procedure is performed. Attention should be paid to thorough scraping, especially at the fundus and cornual areas of the uterus.
3. After uterine surgery, anti-infection treatment should be administered. Clinically, oral or intravenous antibiotics can be given.
4. For patients with significant bleeding symptoms that cannot be completely eradicated or frequently recur with the above methods, hysterectomy should be considered.
