Post-abortion difficult problems

Patient's question:

Hello! I have been experiencing thin, brownish-red discharge for 27 days since the medication abortion, sometimes accompanied by a small amount of bleeding. On the 18th day after the medication abortion, I went to the hospital and had a rash. The doctor ordered an ultrasound, which showed a 0.8 cm hypoechoic area in the uterine cavity. The doctor prescribed Yangxue Huayu Heji (Blood Nourishing and Stasis Dissolving Mixture), but it hasn’t been very effective. It’s already the 27th day, and I’m wondering if this is directly related to having had sexual intercourse seven times after the medication abortion. What medication should I take?

Doctor's answer:

Postoperative discomfort in the lower abdomen, mild pain, or a small amount of vaginal bleeding may occur on the day of the surgery. Postoperative bleeding usually lasts for 3 to 5 days. As the uterus contracts and the wound heals, vaginal bleeding gradually stops, with the maximum duration not exceeding 10 days. If the vaginal bleeding is excessive, lasts for an extended period, or the abdominal pain persists for more than three days, it may indicate possible conditions such as incomplete aspiration, missed aspiration, uterine perforation, cervical laceration, intraoperative or postoperative bleeding, cervical-cavity adhesion, or menstrual disorders. In such cases, it is important to seek medical review immediately.
