Is it a severe inflammation? I'm very worried. Please reply as soon as possible.

Patient's question:

I had my period on January 2nd.
I had sexual intercourse on the evening of January 10th, using a condom for contraception. Both partners cleaned up before and after the act. On January 12th, I began experiencing white discharge with dark red blood. It has continued until today, the 19th, but without any pain or itching. I want to know what is going on and whether it is a serious inflammation. I am very worried and would appreciate a prompt response!!
Thank you very much!!!

Doctor's answer:

Based on the situation you described, it could be possible that it is ovulatory bleeding, or it could be bloody discharge. Bloody discharge is commonly associated with vaginal infections, cervical polyps, severe cervical erosion, cervical cancer, uterine body cancer, or submucosal uterine fibroids protruding from the external cervical os. If you experience bloody discharge, you should immediately undergo a gynecological examination in a regular hospital to identify the source of the bleeding, so as to avoid losing the opportunity for direct observation of the bloody discharge. If the bloody discharge occurs after menopause, it is even more important to rule out the possibility of cancer.
