Is the uterus suffering from inflammation?

Patient's question:

I had my period last time on 11/25, and it ended around 12/2. Up until now, I haven't had my period. Last week, I went to the hospital for an abdominal ultrasound, and the result showed the endometrium was 10mm thick. The doctor said it would come soon and prescribed me medication. After taking it for a week, it still hasn't arrived. I'm very worried. Could the ultrasound result be a misdiagnosis? If there is any inflammation, would it also affect my period? Can the ultrasound detect if the uterus has inflammation?
I would greatly appreciate it if the doctor could answer these questions for me. Thank you very much!

Doctor's answer:

Hello, your condition should be checked at the hospital. If it hasn't arrived after stopping for 7 days, it's timely to undergo an ultrasound examination to clarify the condition of the endometrium. Before menstruation, the endometrium is between 8-12 millimeters.
