Features: The emergency medical service system consists of three parts: pre-hospital emergency care, hospital emergency departments, and intensive care units. This book, "Emergency Nursing," is written according to these three components to provide a comprehensive understanding of the development history, scope of work, and characteristics of the entire emergency medical service system for nursing students and a wide range of nurses already engaged in emergency nursing. On this basis, the book provides a detailed introduction to emergency nursing work in hospital emergency departments (rooms), covering emergency care in internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology, and otolaryngology. The writing style of this book is not confined to the standardized presentation of general textbooks but focuses on clinical emergency nursing procedures, highlighting the nursing assessment, condition judgment, triage, emergency measures, and treatment and care for various diseases or symptoms and signs. This aligns with the thinking patterns and work methods of clinical nurses, making it easier for them to grasp the content. During the writing process, efforts were made to achieve the following: (1) Scientificity: The content described is based on professional theoretical knowledge of medicine and nursing, with clear, accurate, and focused concepts, presented concisely and briefly; (2) Practicality: Combining clinical realities, the book focuses on introducing common diseases in emergencies as well as basic concepts, etiology, clinical manifestations, condition judgment, emergency care, and treatment and nursing closely related to emergency nursing; (3) Novelty: Reflecting the latest advancements and perspectives in modern clinical medicine and nursing, the book incorporates new research findings in clinical medicine from domestic and international sources, as well as new diagnostic and treatment technologies and nursing measures. However, due to the authors' limitations and the urgency of the writing schedule, there may be shortcomings in this book. We sincerely welcome any suggestions for improvement so that the book can be refined in future editions.
