Is irregular menstruation only related to taking progesterone?

Patient's question:

I am 23 years old, and my menstrual cycle is very regular, occurring once a month. However, in November, after my monthly period, I experienced irregular vaginal bleeding during bowel movements. Later, I went to the hospital for a check-up, and the doctor prescribed me Progesterone (likely referring to a specific brand like "Luteinizing Hormone"). I took 5 tablets per day for 6 consecutive days, after which I stopped the medication. Five days after stopping, I got my period, but the flow was light, and the blood was dark brown with clots. My period started on December 1st and has been continuous until now. Could this be related to taking Progesterone? What does Progesterone treat? What might be the issue with me?
First follow-up question: Is it possible that I could have fibroids or a tumor in this condition? (I have never had sexual intercourse.)
Second follow-up question: Fibroids

Doctor's answer:

Your condition, considering long-term irregular vaginal bleeding, is likely related to possible endocrine issues. It is recommended to rest actively, avoid eating raw and cold stimulating foods, and seek medical review for hormone levels when necessary. Consider using estrogen and progesterone for regulation and improvement. Pay attention to strengthening nutrition and preventing the possibility of infection.
