Ovarian cyst has reappeared

Patient's question:

In June 2005, I had laparoscopic surgery due to a 6×7 cm cyst on the right ovary. However, on December 9th, a pregnancy test revealed another cyst of 5.4×4.7 cm on the right ovary. Both times I had the tests right before my period, and the last time, the cyst was still that size after my period, which led to the surgery. I haven’t felt any discomfort. What could be happening, and what should I do?

Doctor's answer:

Recurrent ovarian cysts are not uncommon in clinical practice, as the environment in the body that forms ovarian cysts still exists, making the probability of recurrence very high. Ovarian cysts are mainly caused by long-term dietary structures, poor lifestyle habits, excessive psychological stress, and other factors that lead to excessive acidification of the body, resulting in ovarian diseases and endocrine disorders. This leads to a decline in immune function, which can develop into abnormal proliferation of ovarian tissue, ultimately resulting in ovarian cysts, and even cancer. Therefore, it is important to seek timely treatment for ovarian cysts.
