Doctor's answer:

Hello: Cervical erosion is a common inflammation of the female reproductive tract, classified into three degrees—mild, moderate, and severe—based on the proportion of the cervix affected by erosion. Treatment methods include non-invasive and invasive treatments. Local treatment using medication applied to the vagina is a non-invasive approach, but it is ineffective for cervical erosion of moderate or greater severity. Invasive treatments involve methods such as phototherapy, cryotherapy, laser, and electrocautery for localized cervical treatment. This method may cause minor damage to the cervix locally and sometimes affect its ability to dilate during childbirth, but it does not lead to infertility. In contrast, severe cervical erosion or cases with acute infections, if left untreated, can result in infertility. Therefore, for women who have not borne children and are diagnosed with cervical erosion without affecting pregnancy or acute infection, cervical laser treatment can be performed after childbirth.
