What is the dark red, lump-like growth near the perineum?

Patient's question:

Female
24
Recently, I noticed dark red, swollen bumps near the perineum with slight itching. When I washed the bumps with warm water, they disappeared temporarily, but the original area remained dark red and itchy, without using any medication. What kind of skin condition could this be? Is it contagious? How should it be treated?
Additional question: Thank you, could it be jock itch?

Doctor's answer:

This condition is likely pseudowarts, which are a benign papillomatosis and do not belong to sexually transmitted diseases; they are non-communicable. In women aged 20–30, multiple 1–2 mm smooth papules are seen on the inner side of the labia minora, clustered but not fused together, resembling fish eggs or small polyps. Sometimes, they may cause itching. In terms of treatment, it is recommended to use Huanglian Shangqing tablets for treatment, while also increasing water intake, consuming more fruits and vegetables to supplement vitamins, avoiding spicy foods, and maintaining good local hygiene.
