Why does my girlfriend's clitoris bleed when I touch it?

Patient's question:

Why does she bleed when I touch her clitoris?
It's not sexual intercourse. First follow-up question: She hasn't had her period, and almost every time I touch it, a little blood is left behind.
It's just touching the clitoris, not about how deep or shallow it is.
Does excessive force cause bleeding? It's not the clitoris that's bleeding.

Doctor's answer:

Hello, there are two types of vaginal bleeding outside of the menstrual period: physiological and pathological. Generally, some women may experience ovulatory bleeding during the ovulation period, also known as mid-cycle bleeding, which refers to light bleeding between two normal menstrual cycles. It may be accompanied by varying degrees of mild abdominal pain. If the symptoms are mild, no treatment is needed. However, if the bleeding is heavy or affects fertility, medication can be used.
However, irregular vaginal bleeding should also be considered as a possible sign of the following conditions: cervical polyps, acute vaginitis, severe cervical erosion, cervical cancer, submucosal uterine fibroids, and others. Additionally, sometimes due to the insertion of an intrauterine device (IUD), blood streaks may also be present in the vaginal discharge.
It is recommended that you visit a hospital for examination and consult a doctor to identify the cause and receive timely and appropriate treatment.
