Patient's question:
Hello, could you please take a look at the checkup report for me? Thank you!I had a pelvic fluid checkup in January, and this is the follow-up report from November. I don’t have any obvious symptoms, but sometimes when my abdomen is tapped, it feels hollow (TCM says my spleen and stomach are out of balance, with gas). The pain is above the pelvic area. My period started on the 8th of this month and ended on the 14th. After that, my discharge turned yellow (it’s slightly yellow when wiping, not every time, no odor, and the amount is not much).
The uterus is in an anterior position, with a size of 5.04.63.9, smooth and uniform surface, endometrial thickness of 0.4. The right ovary is 2.61.7.
Doctor's answer:
Generally, pelvic effusion can be divided into two types: physiological effusion and pathological effusion. Physiological pelvic effusion often occurs after ovulation or in the early stages of pregnancy and usually resolves naturally without the need for treatment. However, most pelvic effusion is caused by inflammation, specifically due to the exudation resulting from chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. Therefore, it is recommended that you come to the hospital for a follow-up examination after your menstrual period has ended to determine the nature of the effusion.
