Treatment of cervical erosion

Patient's question:

Patient Age: 24
I was checked for cervical erosion in July this year, which was severe. I followed through with a week of laser treatment, but why do I see online that it only takes one week? I didn’t have a follow-up after the treatment, and now I occasionally feel a little pain. What could be the reason?
First Follow-up Question: I haven’t had a follow-up yet. Has this condition worsened?

Doctor's answer:

Hello, according to your description, you currently have moderate cervical erosion. It is recommended to consider using vaginal medication combined with physical therapy for better treatment results. Cervical erosion is mainly caused by chronic vaginal infections in women that have not been effectively treated for a long time, leading to inflammation spreading upwards to the cervix. The most common medication is Xiaomi (Xiaomi is a Chinese brand name and should be kept as is). During treatment, avoid sexual activity, pay close attention to local hygiene, and wear pure cotton underwear that is breathable. Regular follow-up is necessary.
