Features: With China's entry into the WTO, market competition has become increasingly fierce, and the world economy is also moving towards global integration. Modern management has become an urgent task before us, and mastering the theories and methods of modern management requires a certain mathematical foundation. In long-term teaching practice, we have also found that the weakness of finance and economics students is insufficient rational thinking, and the mathematical knowledge they have learned cannot be flexibly applied. To help a wide range of economic management practitioners quickly master modern management methods, we have compiled the book "Economic Mathematics" based on our years of teaching experience. First, it should be noted that economic mathematics is not a new branch of mathematics but a compilation of commonly used mathematical methods in economic management for ease of learning and application. This book includes selected content such as linear algebra, linear programming, and probability and mathematical statistics. These contents belong to three different branches of disciplines and are taught separately in science and engineering majors. Most of the textbooks and teaching reference books in this field are relatively deep and numerous, emphasizing the systematicity and rigor of mathematical theory. When compiling the textbook, we aimed to introduce as many mathematical methods essential for finance and economics majors as possible, while meeting the content requirements of the teaching syllabus. We considered both the direct or indirect need of finance and economics students for mathematical knowledge, the importance of teaching for cultivating students' logical thinking ability, and laying the necessary mathematical foundation for learning other economic management courses. After careful analysis and research, we have uniformly organized three mathematical methods: linear equation models, linear inequality models, and random models. We have also introduced two software tools to achieve the operability of these mathematical methods, striving to make it convenient for classroom teaching, comprehensive and systematic in content, and simple and practical in tools and methods. This book is divided into four parts, including: linear algebra, linear programming, an introduction to probability theory and mathematical statistics, and the application of computers in economic mathematics.
