Hello everyone, how many days after pregnancy can a test paper detect it?

Patient's question:

Hello everyone, how many days after pregnancy can a test paper detect it? Is it possible within the past month?

Doctor's answer:

Generally speaking, it takes about 6 or 7 days for a fertilized egg to produce human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). Pregnancy test sticks detect hCG in urine. Human chorionic gonadotropin actually starts to be secreted in large quantities only after the embryo implants, when syncytiotrophoblasts begin to secrete it in large amounts. And at least 11 days are needed for the embryo to implant. Therefore, the earliest it can be detected is on the 6th day. For more accuracy, it's better to wait until 11 days after intercourse, as that is when it is most reliable.
