Is lower back pain a sign of pregnancy?

Patient's question:

I got my period on the 16th of last month, and it should be around the 11th this month. However, I had sexual intercourse on the 26th and 28th. Recently, I've been experiencing lower back pain. A while ago, I was diagnosed with cervical erosion, and currently, my vaginal discharge is yellowish-white and slightly viscous. Could this be pregnancy or symptoms caused by cervical erosion? Thank you!

Doctor's answer:

Hello, lower back pain is related to pregnancy. Lower back pain is a common condition during pregnancy. Mild cases may involve aching back and legs, while severe cases may also accompany symptoms such as leg cramps and sciatica. During the early stages of pregnancy, this type of lower back pain is usually not very severe, with pain being relatively mild, mostly in the form of aching back and legs. The lower back pain during this period is often caused by retroverted uterus, pressure on the rectum and ligaments, and pregnant women do not need to be overly anxious.
