Patient's question:
What kinds of gynecological diseases can be detected through TCT tests?Doctor's answer:
TCT is a cervical cytology test used for the detection of precancerous lesions. It can report results such as inflammation, candidiasis, herpes simplex virus infection, trichomoniasis, HPV (human papillomavirus) infection, and a series of precancerous lesions of cervical cancer. It cannot detect mycoplasma and chlamydia infections. Bloody leukorrhea during ovulation should primarily be considered for cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, or polyps and fibroids. It may also be caused by mycoplasma and chlamydia infections. This requires a culture test on cervical secretions.
