Special examination for infertility and sterility:
For suspected anovulation, further measurement of serum PRL, FSH, LH, E2, T3, and T4 levels is recommended. Special tests may be performed if necessary, including the flaxseed oil test, estrogen test, LH-RH test, and karyotype analysis. Endoscopic examination (hysteroscopy or laparoscopy, or both) and ovarian biopsy can be used as final measures to determine the cause and location of anovulation and whether oocytes are present in the ovaries.
The examination should be performed 3-7 days after menstruation.
