Does vaginal medication affect hCG testing the next day?

Patient's question:

I recently experienced lower back and abdominal pain and went for a gynecological examination. The doctor asked me to do an hCG test in the morning. I'm wondering if using a medication (a white one used for insertion into the vagina) the night before will affect the hCG test the next day? (Because I'm abroad, I don't know what the medication is called and I can't understand the instructions.)

Doctor's answer:

Early pregnancy test strips are used to test morning urine, and vaginal medication will not affect the test results. Early pregnancy test strips are divided into two test areas: the test area and the quality control area. If two purplish-red bands appear, one in the test area and the other in the quality control area, it indicates a positive result, meaning pregnancy has occurred. If only one purplish-red band appears in the quality control area and no purplish-red band appears in the test area, it indicates a negative result, meaning pregnancy has not occurred.
