This book is written by multiple teachers from Changsha University of Science and Technology who have long been engaged in teaching and training in supervision. It is compiled based on the "Professional Qualification Examination Syllabus for Highway Engineering Supervisors" of the Ministry of Transport (hereinafter referred to as the "Syllabus"). The purpose is to assist candidates in self-study and review before the exam, improving their learning efficiency and exam-taking ability. The content covers all seven exam subjects: Supervision Theory, Contract Management, Highway Engineering Economics, Road and Bridge Engineering, Tunnel Engineering, Highway Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and Comprehensive Exam. The chapter division in each subject, except for the additional chapter "Comprehensive Analysis Questions," is basically aligned with the "Exam Content" in the "Syllabus." Each chapter is divided into four parts:
(1) Syllabus and Key Points: A brief summary and organization of the knowledge covered in the "Syllabus," serving as a review outline and reference for guidance.
(2) Analysis of Key and Difficult Points with Example Solutions: Extraction and analysis of the key and difficult content in the "Syllabus," supplemented by typical example solutions to enhance candidates' understanding and application skills.
(3) Selected Review Questions: Designed to encourage candidates to think and solve specific problems, thereby testing and reinforcing their mastery of the content covered in the "Syllabus."
(4) Review Question Answers and Explanations: Providing solutions or hints for the review questions, as well as necessary comments on the interpretation of question intent, problem-solving approaches, and the depth and breadth of answers.
We hope that the publication of this book will provide some assistance in your pre-exam review and wish you all the best in passing the exam.
Preface
Since its publication, the "Review Guide for the Professional Qualification Examination of Highway Engineering Supervisors" has been widely welcomed by society and has basically met the review and preparation needs of engineering and technical personnel participating in the qualifications exams for Highway Engineering Supervisors and Professional Supervisors. In response to the requests of a large number of readers, we have organized the revision and re-publication of the book. The entire book is closely aligned with the "Professional Qualification Examination Syllabus for Highway and Waterway Engineering Supervisors" of the Ministry of Transport, covering all the knowledge points required by the syllabus and emphasizing key content. At the same time, a large number of exercises have been compiled to help candidates conduct systematic reviews in a relatively short period and assess their review effectiveness through practice questions. It is a good review guide.
The revision work for the re-publication of this book was organized by Zhang Qisen and Yuan Jianbo. Among them, the subject of Supervision Theory was written by Zhou Hong'en (chapters 1-4, 8-10), Guo Yunkai (chapter 6), Liu Xianpin (chapter 5), and Yang Yusheng (chapter 7). The four colleagues jointly wrote chapter 11, and the subject was finally compiled by Zhou Hong'en; the second subject of Contract Management was written by Huang Jingyuan; the third subject of Highway Engineering Economics was written by Zhou Xian (chapters 1, 5), and Yang Yusheng (chapters 2, 3), and Cao Cuixing (chapters 4, 6); the fourth subject of Road and Bridge Engineering was written by Yao Jialiang (chapters 1-3, 5, 6), and Liu Xiaoyan (chapter 4). The two colleagues jointly wrote chapter 7; the fifth subject of Tunnel Engineering was written by Wu Congshi; the sixth subject of Highway Mechanical and Electrical Engineering was written by Wu Jun and Ou Zhike; the seventh subject of Comprehensive Exam was organized by Jiang Shunyi, Dai Qiren, Guo Yunkai, Liu Xianpin, and Wang Shousu, and written by Jiang Shunyi.
Zhang Qisen, Yuan Jianbo, and Guo Yunkai compiled and reviewed the entire second edition of the book, and Fang Qiong assisted in organizing it.
The writing and publication of this book were supported by Director Sun Xi of the People's Transportation Press and Secretary Gao Yaxi of the School of Highway Engineering at Changsha University of Science and Technology.
