Features: In recent years, martial arts have flourished both domestically and internationally, with various forms of competitive activities becoming increasingly frequent, creating a pressing need for standardized competition routines. To address this, the China Wushu Research Institute and the China Wushu Association organized renowned coaches, Tai Chi masters, and a selection of outstanding athletes to develop competition routines for Changquan (Long Fist), Nanquan (Southern Fist), Tai Chi, Tai Chi Sword, Da Dao (Broad Sword), Jian (Sword), Gun (Staff), Qiang (Spear), Nan Dao (Southern Broad Sword), and Nan Gun (Southern Staff). These routines retain the stylistic characteristics of the respective martial arts and reflect the current technical standards of wushu. Not only are they rich in content, standardized in movement, well-structured, and logically arranged, but their number of movements, groups, and timing also comply with competition rules. They have been approved by the China Wushu Research Institute and are now published as books, with accompanying teaching video tapes being widely distributed. We believe that with the promotion of these competition routines, it will play a positive role in promoting the standardization of wushu competitions and in the popularization and advancement of wushu.
