Patient's question:
Doctor:Hello!
I would like to ask if, compared to laser treatment, microwave treatment for cervical erosion causes less trauma to the cervix? I haven't given birth yet.
What is the approximate cost of one session of microwave treatment?
Thank you for your help. First question follow-up: Doctor:
Thank you very much for your answer.
Today I had a routine vaginal discharge test, cervical scraping, and colposcopy (with a biopsy). Vaginal discharge
Doctor's answer:
The treatment of cervical erosion first requires a cervical smear to rule out precancerous lesions. Then, a pathogenological examination of cervical secretions should be conducted to determine the specific pathogen causing the condition. If necessary, pathogen culture + drug sensitivity testing can be performed to select appropriate medications for treatment. Medication treatment includes local and systemic approaches. However, for moderate to severe cervical erosion, physical therapy is generally more effective. Examples include laser, microwave, BOM light, and electric burning. But if the patient is not planning to have children, medication treatment should still be preferred to avoid adverse consequences. Physical therapy should then be administered.
