Features: In 1983, the classic wuxia TV series The Legend of the Condor Heroes swept across the Chinese world, touching the emotions of hundreds of millions of people. The actress Ong Meiling, who portrayed the clever and lively character Huang Rong, became an idol adored by people of all ages. However, her life was tragically cut short at the age of 26 when she died by. Ong Meiling's passing was widely mourned as "one of the great tragedies of the world." Compared to the legendary actresses Ruan Lingyu from the black-and-white film era and Lin Dai from the color film era, both of whom also suffered tragic fates, Ong Meiling can be considered a "meteorite" of extraordinary brilliance in the era of television dramas. She became a lasting symbol for fans, her image merged with that of Huang Rong from Jin Yong's novels, becoming a dream goddess for many women. What's touching is that even though Ong Meiling left us in the 1980s, her influence remains to this day. In the internet age after her passing, the "Ong Fans" and "Ong Fan culture" have grown into a significant phenomenon, and new young fans continue to join the community even during the compilation of this book. After 20 years, Ong's fans now span the globe. These self-proclaimed "Ong Fans" come from various age groups, with many of them being born in the 1980s. They became devoted to her through the TV series and remain deeply passionate about everything she stood for. This book is a comprehensive photographic biography of Ong Meiling, possibly the last of its kind, and was self-published by dedicated "Ong Fans" as a tribute.
