How to treat vaginitis and cervical erosion?

Patient's question:

Doctor, hello!
During the physical examination, I was diagnosed with vaginitis, which has caused cervical erosion. It seems quite serious. I haven't given birth yet. How should I be treated? What medication should I use?
Will laser treatment affect my ability to have children in the future? I heard that vaginitis can be treated with microwave therapy. Will that affect my ability to get pregnant later?
History of previous diagnosis and treatment, as well as effectiveness: I have taken Gynecological Qianjin Tablets and applied topical medications. The results were not significant.

Doctor's answer:

Hello: There are many treatment methods for cervical erosion, and appropriate choices can be made based on the degree of erosion. The main methods are as follows:
(1)Drug treatment: For small erosion areas with superficial inflammation, the following drug treatments can be used:
① 10–20% silver nitrate: Apply locally once a week, with 2–4 applications constituting one course.
② Potassium permanganate: Apply locally after menstruation, and repeat treatment once after 1–2 months. When using these drugs, handle with care to prevent burns to the surrounding vaginal wall, and ensure sterilization during application to prevent reinfection.
(2)Physical treatment: Used for larger erosion areas with deeper inflammation.
① Electrocautery: Use a special electrocautery device to burn the erosion tissue, causing it to necrose and fall off. The treatment should reach a certain depth for better efficacy.
② Cryotherapy: Use a special rapid-freezing device to freeze, necrose, and detach the diseased tissue on the erosion area. Liquid nitrogen is commonly used as the cryogen, lowering the temperature of the cryoprobe to -196°C. Apply it to the surface of the cervix to freeze and necrose the erosion tissue, allowing new squamous epithelium to regenerate. One session is usually sufficient for cure. Generally, there are no adverse reactions, though some patients may experience mild dizziness or lower abdominal pain.
③ Laser treatment: Often uses a carbon dioxide laser treatment device. Apply the special laser treatment head to the erosion tissue to carbonize, form a scab, and detach it, followed by the growth of new squamous epithelium. One session is usually sufficient for cure. There is no special discomfort during the procedure, though some patients may experience bleeding when the scab falls off.
