Optical a few dry English sentences are not enough. Don't always put the purpose of reading in improving English. Reading is first to absorb knowledge, and in the process of absorbing knowledge, language is naturally absorbed. Using English thinking is a realm that many English learners hope to achieve. Because it is the foundation of expressing thoughts fluently in English. For Chinese students living in a non-English environment, it is indeed very difficult to think partly or entirely in English, but it is not an unreachable goal. From my own experience in learning English, I have realized that persistent extensive reading is one of the most effective ways to achieve this goal.
He Qixin (Vice President and Doctoral Supervisor of Beijing Foreign Studies University) especially recommends English easy readers for beginners and intermediate learners. The materials to be read should be easy and have a strong narrative element. The reading speed should be as fast as possible, and the more you read, the better. This is a proven and effective method for learning English.

Real estate tycoon Jonathan Hack arrives at the De Quila Castle in Budapest at the invitation of the Count De Quila to discuss the purchase of property in London for him. However, on his way to the castle and after arriving, he experiences many incredible and frightening things. First, the locals' warnings make him feel strange and somewhat uneasy. Then, he sees the Count De Quila, a pale and red-eyed strange man. During his days at the castle, he experiences a series of unbelievable events and nearly loses his life, but ultimately, he manages to escape from the castle by luck.
Meanwhile, Jonathan's wife, Mina, is very worried about her husband's safety. She communicates with her friend Lucy, telling her her concerns, and from the correspondence, she learns that Lucy is being pursued by three excellent men and has accepted one named Arthur. Lucy comforts Mina and rushes to Whitby Town to be with her. However, in Whitby Town, a series of strange events occur: first, a foreign ship sinks in a storm at night, and everyone on board dies in a mysterious way. Then, Mina discovers that Lucy is sleepwalking at night and is with a strange man, and Lucy's health is also deteriorating. But before she can deal with these matters, Mina receives a message from Jonathan and immediately travels to Budapest to visit him.
Lucy's condition worsens, causing Arthur, who is puzzled by the situation, to become very worried. He notifies Lucy's pursuer—the doctor Seward. Dr. Seward is also helpless in dealing with Lucy's condition, so he invites Professor Van Helsen from the Netherlands. After Professor Van Helsen examines Lucy, he gradually realizes the severity of the situation. They do their best to save Lucy's life, but ultimately fail.
Lucy is finally turned into a vampire by the Count De Quila. Professor Van Helsen visits Mina and learns about Jonathan's experiences from her. Thus, he understands the entire situation and tells it to the three men pursuing Lucy and to Jonathan and his wife. Together, they rescue Lucy's soul, allowing her to rest in peace, and decide to work together to eliminate the Count to prevent him from creating evil warriors in London.
First, they gather all the information about the Count and conduct a thorough analysis, deciding to target the boxes that sustain him, aiming to destroy them to eliminate the Count. They travel to several of the Count's properties in London and, with the arrangement of Professor Van Helsen and everyone's joint efforts, manage to eliminate the Count's forty-nine boxes. However, at this moment, sensing something is wrong, the Count escapes with his last box to his old nest—the De Quila Castle.
The warriors track him to completely eliminate this evil perpetrator, but during the pursuit, Mina is unfortunately attacked by the Count, and her life is in danger. However, these difficulties do not stop the warriors from moving forward. Ultimately, through relentless efforts, they eliminate the Count and save Mina's life, but their comrade-in-arms, Quinn, sacrifices himself.
The novel is narrated from the perspective of the protagonist, interspersed with various suspenseful events and the steadfast love between the main characters, vividly recreating scenes of bloodshed, terror, sorrow, and emotion. Reading it makes one feel as if they are living the story, unable to put the book down.
