Features: Under the trend of economic globalization, the development of international investment law has encountered new factors. Among them, due to the interconnection between international investment and international trade, as well as the expansion of the "trade-related" areas of the WTO regime, international investment law has formed a certain degree of connection, intersection, or penetration with the WTO regime. Since the reform and opening-up, China's treaty practices and legal system development regarding international investment have made significant progress. After joining the WTO, China needs to participate more actively in international economic decision-making and treaty practices, master international rules, and further improve and refine foreign investment laws to create a better investment environment. This book conducts research from both theoretical and practical perspectives, exploring the relationship between the WTO regime and international investment law. Based on this foundation, it provides in-depth studies on topics such as the WTO and the multilateral investment regime, the WTO and China's regional trade agreement practices, the development of bilateral investment treaties and China's practices, and the "transitional" development of China's foreign investment laws. Limited by academic capabilities, this book is only a preliminary exploration of many new issues. There may be flaws, but the intention is to provoke academic debate and also hope that it benefits relevant practices.
