It also contains archives from important conferences, major events, and renowned individuals, covering a span of over 150 years from the mid-19th century to the mid-1990s. These rich archives have become invaluable resources for historical research, serving as reading materials for many Chinese and foreign scholars. The "Shanghai Archival Materials Research" series is published irregularly, with one to two issues per year, each containing approximately 300,000 words. The columns include thematic research, oral history, archival guides, and archival shelves, among others. Additionally, new columns such as the latest developments in modern Chinese and Shanghai history research, translated academic works from abroad, thematic goals of archival repositories, and newly added or opened archival collections will be introduced to highlight the series' unique features.
