When is the chance of pregnancy higher during coitus?

Patient's question:

I had an induced abortion. I also want to ask, if my period started on December 7th and ended on the 11th, when is the best time for us to have sex to get pregnant? Also, my period is not very regular. I had the abortion at the end of July. My period came on September 6th, then I didn't have it in October, then it came on November 5th, and now it's come again on December 7th. I hope you can tell me when the chances of getting pregnant after having sex are higher. Thank you.
If I hadn't had the abortion, and there was no fetal pole or heartbeat after 60 days, would that be considered normal? What could be the reason for this? The main reason I had the abortion was because I fell down the stairs and started bleeding.

Doctor's answer:

To increase the chances of conception, it is best to have intercourse every other day during the ovulation period. This is because sperm survive in the female reproductive tract for an average of: 0.5 to 2.5 hours in the vagina, 48 hours in the cervix, 24 hours in the uterus, and 48 hours in the fallopian tubes. Meanwhile, an egg survives in the fallopian tube for approximately 12 to 16 hours after being released from the ovary. Fertilization occurs in the ampulla of the fallopian tube or nearby.
Having intercourse every two days one week before ovulation ensures that sperm are present when the egg is released, allowing them to reach the fallopian tube in time for fertilization. This sexual pattern significantly increases conception rates compared to intercourse after ovulation.
The optimal time for intercourse is between 5 PM and 7 PM. This is when both the quantity and quality of sperm peak, and it is also when women are most fertile.
