Patient's question:
Doctor,My vagina is white, as if generally speaking, a woman's vagina is red. There is nothing uncomfortable with my body. What could be the reason?
Doctor's answer:
Consider the possibility of candidal vaginitis. Patients with candidal vaginitis exhibit increased vaginal discharge, itching and burning sensation in the external genitalia and vagina, painful urination, and often redness and edema around the external genitalia. The skin changes can vary widely. All cases of candidal vaginitis should be treated continuously for three menstrual cycles. Normal vaginal discharge should be checked three times before and after menstruation to confirm cure. Additionally, underwear, bed sheets, and other items should be exposed to sunlight and boiled for disinfection to prevent recurrence. A 2% to 4% baking soda solution can be used to rinse the vagina once or twice daily, with two weeks constituting one course of treatment.
