Did I get pregnant while my husband was taking acyclovir tablets?

Patient's question:

Medical Description: My husband started taking acyclovir tablets last October, and I found out I was pregnant in August this year. Can this child be healthy? Can I keep it?
History of Treatment and Effect: I had an ultrasound at the hospital to confirm a 39-day pregnancy.
Help Needed: Can I keep this child? If not, what surgery would not affect future fertility? This is my first pregnancy.

Doctor's answer:

Hello, it is recommended to wait two months before getting pregnant. If you do get pregnant, from the perspective of eugenics, there may be some impact, but it does not necessarily lead to malformations. Do not worry too much. It is safer to plan conception after the disease is cured and medication is stopped. During pre-pregnancy, both partners should maintain the best state, avoiding smoking, alcohol, and drugs, and staying away from radiation. You can prepare for prenatal and childbirth examinations (such as undergoing Down syndrome screening between weeks 14-20 of pregnancy and undergoing a color ultrasound for anomaly screening between weeks 22-26 of pregnancy). If there are any abnormalities, handle them promptly. After pregnancy, regular prenatal check-ups are sufficient, but you should no longer take medication after becoming pregnant, especially in the early stages.
