Patient's question:
[Got the ring off and immediately put it back on, does that have anything to do with it? What kind of help do you want: How should it be treated]Doctor's answer:
Symptoms of Acute Cervicitis: Increased vaginal discharge, mucopurulent in nature, pruritus and burning sensation of the external genitalia, accompanied by lower back pain and lower abdominal discomfort. It may also present with intermenstrual bleeding or postcoital bleeding. Additionally, lower urinary tract symptoms such as urgency, frequency, and dysuria often occur, causing women to suffer from embarrassing discomfort.Symptoms of Chronic Cervicitis: The cervix may exhibit varying degrees of erosion, hypertrophy, congestion, and edema, sometimes appearing hard in texture, and may also show polyps, lacerations, or cervical glandular cysts. Increased vaginal discharge, with the secretion being milky and mucous in nature, sometimes yellowish and purulent, accompanied by blood-stained leukorrhea or postcoital bleeding. When inflammation involves the sub-bladder connective tissue, symptoms such as urgency, dysuria, and frequency may occur. If the inflammation spreads along the uterosacral ligaments to the pelvic cavity, symptoms such as lower back and sacral pain or lower abdominal discomfort may arise. The viscous purulent discharge from the cervix hinders sperm penetration, potentially leading to infertility.
