Is it normal not to have bleeding 2 days after the flow?

Patient's question:

I had an abortion surgery on November 19th. There were a few drops of blood on the day of the surgery, but there has been no blood for the past two days. Is this normal? I stopped menstruating 39 days before the surgery.

Doctor's answer:

This is normal. Generally, bleeding after childbirth lasts for 3-5 days, but every person's situation is different. No bleeding after the surgery is normal, indicating that the surgery was successful with no residual fetal membranes or other pregnant tissues. On the other hand, it also depends on individual blood clotting function; those with good clotting may not bleed post-surgery. So, you can rest assured and focus on taking care of your body, without worrying about needing another D&C procedure. It is recommended to have a follow-up check-up 15 days later and another one a month later to ensure everything is normal. If the doctor has not prescribed medication, do not take any randomly. Stick to dietary supplements—eat more chicken, lean meat, eggs, dairy products, and legumes and legume products. Avoid spicy and foods.
