What kind of leukorrhea is normal?

Patient's question:

What kind of leukorrhea is normal?
Please explain in detail

Doctor's answer:

Normal leukorrhea should be white, sometimes transparent, sometimes viscous, and odorless. The amount of normal leukorrhea is related to individual constitution and also to the menstrual cycle. Generally, immediately after the menstrual period, the amount of vaginal discharge is relatively small, then it gradually increases, and during the ovulation period, there may be a larger amount of transparent, more viscous, and odorless discharge. After ovulation, the amount of discharge may decrease, but it becomes more viscous. Before the menstrual period approaches, the discharge may increase again, become slightly yellow, and may have a faint fishy smell. This cycle repeats, with the amount of leukorrhea varying and individual differences existing. If underwear is always wet, it is also not normal.
