Features: This book is written based on the "Basic Examination Syllabus for the Professional Qualification Examination of Certified Civil Engineers (Geotechnical)." The entire book consists of nineteen chapters. Chapters 1 to 18 each include basic requirements, review and problem-solving guidance, review questions, and reference answers. The basic requirements outline the content and scope of the exam; the review and problem-solving guidance explain study methods, key points to focus on during review, exam question types, and problem-solving techniques, along with typical examples. There are approximately 1,630 review questions covering the entire syllabus. Chapter 19 provides comprehensive practice, offering two sets of mock exams. This book can serve as study material for civil engineers preparing for the national registration civil engineer (geotechnical) basic exam and also as a teaching reference for university faculty and students.
Preface Since the national registration structural engineer examination began in 1997, the School of Civil Engineering at Guangzhou University (formerly the West Campus of South China Construction Institute) and the Guangdong Provincial Construction Committee's Professional Qualification Registration Center have jointly organized several pre-exam training sessions. The School of Civil Engineering at Guangzhou University (formerly the West Campus of South China Construction Institute's Civil Engineering Department) organized experts and scholars with rich teaching and engineering design experience to write and publish "A Concise Guide to the First-Level Registration Structural Engineer Professional Examination" (edited by Professor Zhang Jichao) and "A Concise Guide to the Second-Level Registration Structural Engineer Professional Examination" (edited by Professor Zhang Jichao), as well as "A Review Question Collection for the First-Level Registration Structural Engineer Basic Examination" (edited by Professor Zhou Yun). These books have played a significant role in helping structural engineers pass the national registration structural engineer examination smoothly.
In 2002, the national civil engineer (geotechnical) basic examination began. To help geotechnical engineers prepare well for the exam and pass it successfully, the School of Civil Engineering at Guangzhou University organized and compiled this "Review Question Collection for the Registration Geotechnical Engineer Basic Examination" for engineers to use as pre-exam study material. This book is written based on the "National Registration Civil Engineer (Geotechnical) Basic Examination Syllabus." The entire book is divided into nineteen chapters. Chapters 1 to 18 each include basic examination requirements, review and problem-solving guidance, review questions, and reference answers. The basic examination requirements outline the content and scope of the exam; the review and problem-solving guidance explain study methods, key points to focus on during review, exam question types, and problem-solving techniques. There are over 1,520 review questions, covering most of the content required by the syllabus. Chapter 19 provides comprehensive practice, offering two sets of mock exams. This book can serve as study material for geotechnical engineers preparing for the national registration civil engineer (geotechnical) basic exam and also as a teaching reference for university faculty and students.
