Features: Wang Chong (1494—1533), a renowned calligrapher of the Ming Dynasty. Originally named Liren, he later changed his name to Lují and styled himself Yayishanren. Born in Changzhou (now Wuxian County, Jiangsu). Skilled in poetry, prose, calligraphy, and painting. His calligraphy was influenced by Zhong Yao and Wang Xizhi, and he drew inspiration from Yu Shinan and Chu Zhan. His running script was elegant and transcendent, ethereal and radiant, while his small regular script was leisurely and unrestrained, simple yet charming, perfectly capturing the essence of Jin Dynasty calligraphy. He was renowned alongside Zhu Yunming and Wen Zhengming. Wang Shizhen described his calligraphy as "achieving skill through clumsiness, combining to form elegance, graceful and powerful, captivating and moving," a highly regarded assessment. This collection compiles works from his "West Garden Poetry Scroll," "Bao Mountain Travel Scroll," "Five Remembrances Song Scroll," "Cursive Poetry Album," and "Li Bai Poetry Scroll." During the compilation, in addition to selecting the finest characters from the original scrolls, all missing characters were reconstructed using relevant strokes as elements, following the structural principles of the various scrolls, striving for accuracy to complete the collection.
