Features: Total Normalized Productive Maintenance (TNPM), which is a production and equipment maintenance system with the goals of overall equipment efficiency (OEE) and total effective production rate, uses comprehensive preventive maintenance as its carrier, employee behavioral standards as its process, and full participation of all personnel as its foundation. TNPM systematically designs equipment inspection and maintenance for enterprises, proposing the SOON model; it establishes a five-six framework and a five-level evaluation standardization system; it also introduces the FROG model for employee growth, all of which represent developments and contributions to TPM. In recent years, TNPM has been independently promoted and successfully implemented in multiple industries in China, including steel, petroleum, chemical, automotive, home appliances, papermaking, cigarette rolling, construction, and mechanical processing. It has achieved significant economic benefits while improving enterprises' equipment management levels. This volume is the fourth in the "Total Normalized Productive Maintenance (TNPM) Series." In the TNPM system, in addition to standardized activities involving production site operators, the carefully designed preventive maintenance system still holds important practical significance. This system is called the SOON process, meaning "Strategy (System) – On-site Information – Organizing – Normalizing," which translates to "Strategy (System) – On-site Information – Organizing – Normalizing." It is a relatively rigorous equipment protection system design. This volume will also unfold in this logical order. First, different maintenance strategies are selected based on different equipment types and their service life. Then, on-site information collection is conducted, including point and patrol inspections relying on human "five senses," status detection using instruments and equipment, and logical reasoning using diagnostic toolboxes, to manage equipment conditions and fault tendencies. The next step is the organization of maintenance activities, including the design of maintenance organizational structures and the allocation of maintenance resources. Finally, the standardization of maintenance behavior and the evaluation of maintenance quality. This volume is suitable for equipment management personnel, production site management personnel, engineering technicians engaged in equipment maintenance, and students and teachers from relevant university majors.
