Features: Huo Weidong is a male Han Chinese born in Chongqing in February 1970 and is a member of the Communist Party of China. He graduated from Qingdao Ocean University (now China Ocean University) in 1991 with a Bachelor's degree in Science. He obtained a Master's degree in Economics and a Doctorate in Economics from Southwest University of Finance and Economics in 1999 and 2003, respectively. He has worked for many years in research, investment banking, and management in securities companies. In 2004, he returned to teach at the International Business School. He has participated in research projects with the Sichuan Provincial Department of Personnel, the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and others. He has co-authored eight books. In recent years, he has published numerous papers in national core journals such as "Exploration of Economic Issues," "Finance and Economics Science," "Economic System Reform," and "Theory and Reform." Research interests: regional economic integration, cross-border mergers and acquisitions (the "going global" strategy of Chinese enterprises), and practical economic issues.
