Chapter 1 primarily elaborates on the concept of payment from the perspectives of money, banks, and central banks, analyzes and explains the development and historical evolution of payment instruments, and particularly introduces electronic money as a new payment instrument. Chapter 2 dissects the composition of payment systems, analyzing the functions of each element in the payment system, as well as the classification and operational principles of payment systems, and examines some typical systems. Credit cards and online banking, as widely used payment instruments and financial innovation products of the contemporary era, are introduced in subsequent chapters. The final chapters discuss security strategies and risk prevention, as well as issues related to central bank regulation, monetary policy, and the legal foundation.
