Features: The duplex apartment breaks the monotonous planar form of traditional unit-style residences, creating an open and layered indoor living environment. It rationalizes functional zoning, distinguishing between active and passive spaces, and clearly separating public and private areas. With an elegant style, it represents an ideal high-end residential form situated between ordinary unit-style homes and villas. Its design should emphasize both practicality and taste, achieving a perfect balance that allows the residence to serve as a space for individual expression while also being a place for leisure and relaxation. The most significant design difference from traditional unit-style homes lies in the duplex, where the staircase plays a crucial role in connecting different levels. The design of the staircase and railings is particularly important in duplex apartment design. This book features a selection of classic designs, sample room photos, and real-life images, serving not only as an example for new home layouts but also as a practical reference for designers.
