Features: The purpose of this book is to scientifically position the status and role of the three types of evaluations (social evaluation, government evaluation, and school self-evaluation) under the macro education management system, based on a comprehensive understanding of the development trends of educational evaluation and the current status of evaluation in Chinese society, government, and schools. At the same time, it clarifies the mutual relationships among the three types of evaluations and points out their respective optimized operational mechanisms. To gain a thorough understanding of the current issues in educational evaluation in China and to clarify the current situation, extensive surveys and analyses were conducted during the research process, and a relatively comprehensive review of new developments in foreign educational evaluation was also carried out. Based on the above research, some policy recommendations for the government to strengthen the development of the three types of evaluations were also proposed. Although this book has its shortcomings, it is a crystallization of collective wisdom; although it is still in its infancy, the research itself is an innovative endeavor. It is both a summary and an organization of the current categories, models, and existing status of educational evaluation in China, and it also includes predictions and prospects for the future development of evaluation categories and models. Therefore, it is a pioneering study, and some of the viewpoints and ideas proposed may play a role in bridging the past and the future in promoting the reform and development of educational evaluation in China.
