Features: Ancient porcelain displays to people are not only a three-dimensional painting but also a silent poem, evoking endless contemplation. Moreover, the marvelous changes in colors and glazes, resulting from different kiln temperatures and craftsmanship, include celadon, meiziqing, famille rose, famille verte, underglaze blue and red, and so on. How magnificent the glazes are! Like a veil of history, through this historical veil, it seems to reveal the life culture, exquisite skills, and refined aesthetic tastes of the ancients, truly enchanting! Therefore, collecting ancient porcelain is not only beneficial for cultivating one's temperament and purifying the soul but also contributes to physical and mental well-being. "Splendid Glazes" is essentially a "notebook" of the author's collection of ancient porcelain. The purpose of compiling and publishing it is: First, to express in concise language the author's understanding and elaboration of certain kiln sites, as most books on porcelain nowadays are dedicated to one kiln site per book, and most are written by experts in the field, being highly academic and lengthy, making them unsuitable for general readers and collectors. In today's market economy, few people have the time and patience to read a thick book just to learn about a single kiln site. Second, to showcase a portion of the author's long-collected ancient porcelain through this "notebook," proving that with persistence, collecting a few pieces a year at a modest cost can yield significant results over ten or twenty years. Third, this "notebook" serves as a means of communication with the broader community of ancient porcelain collectors, merely acting as a "pebble to stir the pond" to spark further discussion.
