The book comprehensively collects all my insights and experiences from teaching GRE Sentence Completion at Beijing New Oriental School over three years, along with explanations for a new question type sample set introduced in autumn 2007. I hope this book can not only serve as a supplementary and advanced study material for New Oriental students preparing for GRE Sentence Completion but also provide a comprehensive and systematic learning resource for more GRE test-takers. I deeply understand that the readers of this book are GRE test-takers who need concise and efficient combat techniques and tangible exam scores. During the writing process, I strived to closely align with the actual GRE learning process, fully paying attention to the following three aspects: 1. When translating example sentences, I tried to reflect the structure of the original text as much as possible, so that test-takers could compare with the original text to understand the characteristics of sentence structures and thereby grasp the relationship between structure and answer options—this is the essence of solving Sentence Completion questions. 2. The solution guidance emphasizes a clear analysis of both the expressive and logical structures of sentences, as well as a clear analysis of the logical structure in relation to the answer options. 3. The selected words in the difficult word annotations are not the result of computer calculations but are all judgments based on my teaching experience over the past three years.
