Features: Biochemistry and molecular biology are important experimental foundational disciplines that study life phenomena at the molecular level. They are among the core and key disciplines in medical schools. In recent years, with the rapid development of theories and techniques in this discipline, it has permeated various branches of biology and fields of medicine, agriculture, and forestry, rapidly transforming their landscapes. It not only provides crucial theoretical foundations for the advancement of these disciplines but also offers novel and advanced techniques and methods for their research. Mastery of biochemistry and molecular biology experimental techniques has become a shared need for these disciplines to uncover the mysteries of life functions at new heights and levels. This book is based on our, revised and adapted over the years, with updated theories and experimental content, and the addition of some experimental techniques reflecting new advancements. The content is divided into two corresponding parts. Part 1 briefly introduces the fundamental theories and experimental methods commonly used in biochemistry and molecular biology, including centrifugation, electrophoresis, chromatography, genetic engineering, the construction of gene libraries, PCR, DNA preparation and analysis, RNA preparation and analysis, etc., for reference by instructors during lectures and students during experiments. The latter part is the experimental section, covering protein quantification, PCR, genetic engineering, the isolation and purification of serum albumin, the isolation of enzymes and the determination of specific activities, Western blotting, Southern hybridization, etc.
