Features: Translator once summarized the story of "Love in a Fallen City" as follows: A divorced daughter from a "declining family" is driven out by her stingy aunt and uncle, and falls in love with a shrewd and worldly-wise old expatriate. Just as she is about to sink into the mire, a sudden world-shaking event saves her, granting her an ordinary fate. The impression "Love in a Fallen City" gives is like a finely carved jade pagoda.
