Features: "The Collection of Qu Discourses Through the Ages – A New Compilation of Classical Chinese Drama Theories" is a major project under the "11th Five-Year Plan" for the preservation and publication of ancient Chinese books. It has now been basically finalized, with a total of over 7 million characters. The collection includes the works of over 250 qu discourse scholars from the Tang, Song, and Yuan dynasties (the period of the formation of Chinese opera) to the late Qing and early Republican era (the period of the transformation of Chinese opera). These works are presented in various forms, including critiques, prefaces, letters, and poetry/ci discourse on ci. Among them, there are nearly 120 monographs (the current largest "New Compilation of Classical Chinese Drama Theories" only includes 48 qu discourse monographs), and approximately 1.5 million characters of single qu discourses on qu and drama. The book is divided into four sections: Tang, Song, and Yuan; Ming; Qing; and Modern, and includes supplementary indexes such as "Index of Personal Names," "Index of Play Titles," "Index of Important Terms," and "Index of Qu Forms." It is printed in traditional vertical characters with modern punctuation marks. "The Collection of Qu Discourses Through the Ages – A New Compilation of Classical Chinese Drama Theories" is the Tang, Song, and Yuan section, which includes the qu discourse monographs or single discourses of 24 qu discourse scholars, with over 17 monographs.
