Features: Coronary heart disease (CHD) is renowned and well-known to the public as a severe cardiovascular disease that threatens the lives of many people worldwide. Every year, millions of people die from it. If it comes to the tendency of CHD, fewer people might be aware of it, and some may have never even heard of it. Perhaps people are more familiar with the term "risk factors for CHD," but in recent years, the term "tendency of CHD" has been increasingly mentioned in the medical field. Therefore, people may naturally wonder, what's wrong with "risk factors for CHD"? Why use "tendency" instead? In fact, this question is not difficult to answer. After all, CHD is not an inherited disease; it has a developmental process, and only at the end of this process does it lead to CHD. The tendency of CHD, in fact, refers to this process, more accurately, to the stage that is very close to the occurrence of CHD. It can be said that the tendency of CHD is both different from and connected to CHD. The difference lies in their nature: the latter is a clear disease, while the former includes both some clear diseases and some common lifestyle mistakes and unaware living conditions. The connection lies in that the former can be seen as a process, while the latter is the final result. In the past, the tendency of CHD was not given enough attention, but it is a real and existing phenomenon that, to a significant extent, determines the occurrence and development of CHD. Therefore, the tendency of CHD is not just one or a group of independent and specific diseases, but rather a life attitude or living condition that leads to CHD. People in this state are closer to CHD and have become a reliable reserve force for the CHD army. A slight carelessness, and some of them may slip into the ranks of CHD. However, if approached scientifically, many of them can not only stay away from CHD but even exit this state and become healthy again. The so-called scientific approach is not something new; the ancient Chinese said, "A wise man treats the disease before it occurs." But truly to practice this approach properly is not an easy task. In people's thinking habits, diseases are generally treated with more emphasis on treatment than prevention. Whether it is dealing with CHD or the tendency of CHD, the most prominent aspect is the word "prevention," which runs through the entire process and revolves around this word. This "prevention" is far from being a simple word; it is indeed a systematic project that involves a wide range of specialized knowledge. It requires not only serious study but also solid practice. For anyone, the struggle against CHD is a long-term battle. The key to not being defeated in this battle depends on whether the necessary preparations are made. And what is called preparation, in a nutshell, is still "prevention." As everyone knows, the occurrence of CHD has a rather long process. Therefore, this "prevention" is not something that can be done overnight; it must also be a long-term process, lasting until the end of life. Accompanying this long process is a knowledge system that covers a wide range, and only by mastering this system well can this long process be effectively managed. Therefore, those who are determined to fight CHD to the end must not only be prepared for long-term treatment but also believe in continuous learning. Only with sufficient knowledge can one win the health defense battle against CHD. To help readers complete the above preparations, we have strived to make the knowledge in this book accurate, practical, and highlight the concept and practice of "prevention." We have used concise and easy-to-understand language to explain the practical aspects that ordinary people can understand, master, and operate. For this purpose, we have elaborated on certain key points from different levels and angles, and explained related knowledge that is often overlooked, such as how to visit a hospital, how to use medication reasonably, and how to engage in rehabilitation training. All of this is for one purpose—to help readers quickly and effectively establish the belief and skills to fight against CHD, so that they can remain victorious in the struggle. In the end, we sincerely hope that the publication of this book will be of great help to you in your fight against the disease. Editors
